As I was raised in Spruce Grove but left it 30-yrs ago, it really made me wax nostalgic to be eating here once again. Jack's has always been known for its ice cream and although the overall interior of the place has changed, it's good to see that the quality of the ice cream has remained the same. My wife and I had an opportunity to meet and chat with one of the owners and he was as personable and friendly as a person could possibly be, which made the interaction very pleasant. Through our conversation with him, it was apparent that both he and his wife (the owners) are more than proud of their business and that they really value their clientele. This place is a real "Diamond In The Rough" and I would highly recommend that if you do not live in it around Spruce Grove that if you are happening by it that you so in at Jack's. You'll be glad you did.
Really not much to complain about as the food is generally good, however the owner doesn't seem to care about regulars too much. Regular customers who spend $200-$300 a month should be able to purchase the buy the second burger at half price year around not just in the winter months. Pretty much stopped going here in the summer months because of it. Definitely think the owner should have a card for loyalty for local regulars and reward them for their loyalty to Jacks. This would separate regulars from once in a blue moon travelers. Make you feel a little bit more wanted Food is a 4 star, customer appreciation is a 2 star at best.
For a first time experience....AMAZING! The burgers are huge the corn fritters are awesome. Everything is great about this 50's iconic drive in restaurant. Love the detail to attention and the owner an awesome guy to talk to. Great place, food, and experience.
Locals all know how great Jack's is but for someone from Edmonton this is a bit of a local gem. Their burgers are big beautiful and fresh. The menu has a solid base and a rotating cast of new and exciting combinations. The portions will leave you satisfied and the price will be easy on your wallet. Totally worth the trip from Edmonton to check out this gem.
Grabbed a late night snack from this Jacks Drive in tonight when my Business partner and I were driving around the area and noticed this place from looking out the window! Since I love old school retro places like this I had to stop in! After entering immediately you get hit with the old school nostalgia feeling which is so unique and a great experience for old fashioned folks and us now older generation crowd. The food didnt disappoint either thank you to Raelene and Riley for providing fun and entertaining service tonight! I had a Nathans hot dog with bacon added and my friend ordered a double cheeseburger, my hot dog I enjoyed very much, the quality of the frank was on point and easily devoured within seconds by myself!Loved every minute I spent inside this well done old school establishment! When visiting do try out the free record player machine and play a song from the many vintage album selections!
